Terms of service
These cover booking and using the Flagler Voice studio. They are written to be read, not to be survived.
Booking a session
- A slot is yours from the moment you confirm it. It comes off the public calendar immediately.
- You do not need a card to hold a slot. Payment is taken at the studio unless we have agreed something else with you in writing.
- Times shown on this site are Palm Coast local time (US Eastern).
- You must be 18 or older to make a booking. Under-18s are welcome to record with a parent or guardian present.
Changing or cancelling
- You can move or cancel a session yourself from your account up to 24 hours before the start time, at no charge.
- Inside 24 hours, call us on 386-899-4986. We will move you where we can. A no-show, or a cancellation with no notice, may be charged in full — the room and the engineer were held for you.
- If we have to cancel or move your session, you get the choice of a new slot or a full refund of anything you have paid.
Turning up
- Please arrive on time. Your session starts and ends at the times booked; if someone is booked after you, we have to finish on schedule.
- If the room is free afterwards we will usually let you keep going, billed at the same rate in the same increments.
- Bring the people you told us about. If your party grows, tell us in advance — four microphones are set up as standard.
In the studio
- Treat the equipment kindly. You are responsible for damage caused by you or your guests beyond ordinary wear.
- No smoking or vaping. Drinks with lids, please — not next to the desk.
- We can decline or end a session involving harassment, threats, or anything unlawful. This is rare and we would rather never use it.
Your recording
- You own what you record. The copyright in your session's audio and video is yours.
- You are responsible for having the rights to whatever you bring in — music, clips, other people's material — and for the consent of everyone appearing in the recording, including remote guests.
- You are responsible for what is said. Flagler Voice provides the room and the crew; the content is yours.
- We would love to mention that your show was recorded here. We will only use your name, artwork or a clip in our own promotion if you say yes.
- We keep raw files long enough to deliver them and complete any editing you have ordered. Please take your own copy — we are not your archive.
Advertising and sponsorship
Sponsorship arrangements are agreed separately in writing, including what runs, on which shows, for how long, and what it costs. We can decline advertising we think would mislead our listeners.
Accounts
Keep your password to yourself. Tell us straight away if you think somebody else has got into your account. We can suspend an account being used to make bookings that are never kept.
Liability
We take real care with your session, and we run a backup recording every time. Even so, to the extent the law allows, our liability for any single session is limited to what you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect losses — lost sponsorship, missed launches and the like.
This website
We work to keep availability on this site accurate to the minute. Very occasionally a slot may be taken between the moment your browser loaded the page and the moment you confirm; if that happens we will tell you immediately and help you find another time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
